Black Lion is the brainchild of Antonia Howard & Ahmad Chbaklo, two creatives driven by a shared passion for bringing captivating stories to life through multimedia.

Ahmad is a true polymath, seamlessly blending his diverse talents as a former pro basketball athlete, a visual artist, free diver and cinematographer. His journey led him from a successful career in branding and marketing in the Middle East to the vibrant landscapes of Sierra Leone in 2016, where he emerged as a multimedia expert for one of the country's leading telecoms companies. With an accomplished mastery of lighting and balanced compositions, Ahmad skilfully navigates the nuances of his craft through the lens of his camera. His unique style, passion and boundless creativity makes his photos and videos simply priceless.

Antonia is an award winning journalist and media professional in Sierra Leone. She worked as a broadcast journalist for almost a decade reporting locally for Sierra Leone's biggest TV station and globally for the BBC. Antonia is the first Sierra Leonean to be shortlisted for the BBC’s Komla Dumor Award for her strong journalism skills,

on-air flair and exceptional talent and creativity in telling African stories. She is a seasoned public speaker, adept corporate event host and a strategic communications professional dedicated to developing impactful narratives that captivate and resonate across diverse audiences.
